Movement is my Medicine

Liberation is the goal

Put on my headphones and my running boots

Because you never know when you may have to run

And I’m always wearing boots

I can feel it building up

Tightness in my muscles and my frontal lobe

Feels as though it wants to explode

And you never know when it will blow

And so I take to the street

Take to the trails

Take to the footfalls that take me far from home

Then try to find my way back

I can feel the pavement and the path

Work their healing ways

As I dance out all the little sins

I have eaten through the day
